1. Coriander leaves when kept in an airtight plastic box with a paper napkin inside, stays fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 weeks!
2. Wrap the fruits and vegetables in newspaper before refrigerating to keep them fresh for longer time.
3. For preserving ginger garlic paste for longer time, add some oil and salt while grinding it.
4. Potatoes, onions and garlic require space with good air circulation – and ideally, do not keep onions and potatoes together (ask us about our special storage solutions for onions and potatoes).
5. Remove the stems of chillies while storing them whole. An even more efficient storage method would be to grind them up to a chilly paste and store them.
6. You can blanch (boil and freeze) beans, peas and other chopped vegetables in bulk. This can help you quickly whip up a meal when unexpected guests arrive!
7. Applying some turmeric powder, lemon juice and salt on cleaned fish before placing it in the freezer helps keep it fresh a lot longer duration.
8. Keep spices in a dark and cool closed dark space to lengthen their fragrant life (ask us about our spice storage options).
9. Dry fruits and nuts last much longer when stored in your fridge!
10. Store bananas separate from other fruit.
